NOTICE;
WAS TAKEN UP AND COMMITTED TO
THE jail of Randolph County, North-Carolina on the
9th day of January, 1863, a negro man, who said upon
examination that he was a slave, and that his name was
AMOS, and that he belonged to William May, of Pitt County
North-Carolina. The the said slave appears to be between
20 -and 30 yrs of age, and is very black.
This notice is to request the owner to come forward,
prove property, pay.all charges, and take him away, or
he will be disposed of according to the law.
