I had posted a message a week or so ago on the writers board about short stories about SW Virginia. In a nutshell, I have been emailing a gentleman named Mike Blankenship. He is the editor of Virginia Appalachian Notes (VAN), a quarterly magazine about different people & events from the SW Virginia area.

Mike is looking for submissions to him via email. I have his permission to post his email addy on this site: mblankens@yahoo.com.

I recently submitted an article and some photos to him about someone from Franklin Co, VA. It will be in the next issue soon to come out.

You can subscribe to VAN for $3 a year I believe. You can email Mike for the particulars.

Southwest Virginia consists of Franklin, Henry, Roanoke, Bedford, Rockbridge and many other counties. Please submit an article to Mike. Let's get our stories out to the public.
