3th Girard - Ruth Smith - 16th & Kra

Hi,

While researching my family, I discovered that my grandfather, Tim
Miles had a sister Annie Miles who moved from the Edgefield, SC area
to the DC area around 1930. I would like to find some of my relatives
that are still in the area so that I can add their information to the
family tree and get to know them.

This is what I know so far from communicating with older relatives:
Annie's husband's last name was Myles spelled with an y instead of an
i. She had some children, but no one seems to remember all of their
names. However they did remember Ruth and Helen. Also, she had 2
sons, but again, no one remembered her sons' names. Around the year
1950 Annie lived on 13th & Girard. Her daughter Ruth Smith did hair
in her home at 16th & Kramer, but she later moved to M Street.

Tim and Annie had a sister name Luzian. Their mother's name was
Elizabeth. The names of my grandfather's children were: Tim Jr,
Theodore, Romie, TP, Lin, Melvin, John, Margaret, Lucille, Mamie, Don
and Mae.

I spent time at the Martin Luther KIng library, but I was able to
find very little, and I'm not sure I have the correct info., but this
is what I have:

Census records showed that Annie and Tim were born around 1889.

I can't find any obit for Annie so I have no idea when she passed.-

I pray that someone will be able to help me locate my family. Thanks
