Negro In Serious condition Here.
Jessie Lewis, Negro, was in a serious condition in a Dothan hospital with a wound in the intestines and Bentley Riley and Dan Hayes were arrested charged with the shooting, according to a report at the sheriffs office today.

Negro, Shot, Dies in Hospital Here.
John Lewis, Negro, 27, died at 5:40 pm yesterday in a hospital here, wher e he was taken for treatment after he was shot in the intestines. Lewis had been in a serious condition at the hospital since Monday.
Bentley Riley and Dan Hayes, white, charged with the shooting are being h eld in the county jail.
Sever of eight perforations were said to have been inflicted in the Negro =92s intestines by gunshot, according to hospital officials.
Riley claims the Negro shot at him several times before he fired at the N egro, according to jailers.

Negro Boy Falls Into Hot Water.
James Graham, 11 year old negro boy was expected to die from burns suffer ed today when he accidentally fell into a vat of scalding water at the Do than Oil Mill, No 2, N. Oates Street, according to physicians at the hosp ital , where the boy was taken.
The scalding water burned the boy severely all over the body and there wa s no chance for his recovery, the attending physicians said.
The boy was reported to have been riding a bicycle near the scalding wate r and was plunged into the water when he fell off the bicycle. Workmen a t the plant rescued the boy from the scalding water according to reports of the accident and the victim was rushed to the hospital .

Funeral Conducted For Negro Boy Who Fell In Hot Water.
Funeral was held yesterday for James Graham, 11, Negro, who died as a res ult of burns suffered when he was scalded near Dothan Oil Mill No 2, at N Oates Street Wednesday.
The scalding water is said to have burned the boy severely all over the b ody.
The boy was reported to have been riding a bicycle near the water and was plunged in when he fell from his bicycle. Workmen from the plant rescue d the negro from the scalding water.
