[MO] St.Louis - I'm looking for Fannie, Mary & Robert Marshall
I am searching for family of my great-grandfather's sister, Fannie / Frances Marshal (b. 1864). After locating the family in Franklin, Williamson Co., Tennessee in 1870 and 1880 censuses, Green, his mother and brothers moved to Nashville, TN.:
I am trying to find evidence that my Fannie Marshall is (or is not) the same that appears to have moved from Tennessee to Independence, Lee Co., Arkansas (per the 1900 federal census) to St. Louis, Missouri (1920 federal census).
In 1900 – a 36 yr old Fannie born in May, 1864 with TN, TN, VA [person's, father's, mother's birth state] ties shows up in a 1900 census of Independence [Maranius Village], Lee county, Arkansas. A 20 yr old daughter Mary (b.Dec, 1879) with ARK, GA, TN ties, and, 3 yr old son Robert Nunnelly? (b. Jun, 1896) with ARK, MS, ARK ties. [1900 census shows ARK, but 1920 shows TN]. Another census fact is that they were neighbors to a family of John Holmes, that happens to be the name of Mary's son [John Lee Holmes per the 1920 census].
1920 - 54 yr old Fannie appears to have relocated to city of St. Louis (Independent City), MO, Ward 17, district 348. [Its appears that the address, 2626 Morgan Street is written on the census]. She is listed with 34 yr old widowed, Mary as Head of household, [renting] with widowed mother and 2 sons [both born in ARK], 10 yr old John Lee Holmes and what appears to be 20 yr old Robt Marshall.
Appreciate any help,
