In researching it is critical to understand the development of each county and the territory or county from which it was created. It would be helpful if we could involve an individual or a team of individuals to help us learn this essemtial information.

Doll and I agreed that we would begin with the State of Alabama to get us all started. Will also try to do Georgia and Florida.

Basic info would provides on a State by State basis
* the name of each county
* the date of creation
* the land from which it was formed
* the county seat

At a future time we might make a project of available records
* the earliest dates for Marriages, Wil1s, Inventory or Administration of Estates, Court Records, Births and Deaths as well as records specific to African American research in each locale.
