Can anyone tell me what area most Black Mosbys would have been in Virginia? I'm not familiar with Virginia's history at all especially with slave. My ancestor was born 1845 in Virginia, I don't know what county. His name is Smith Mosby.
I need someone to steer me in the right direction because I don't know where else to turn.
