There are a lot of Ramsours/Ramseurs/Ramsaurs in western North Carolina, especially in Lincoln County, but also in some of the surrounding counties (e.g., Catawba, Cleveland, Burke, Iredell, Mecklenberg, Caldwell). You need to find out where the White Ramsours that you found in 1850 and 1860 came from in North Carolina. Good luck!
