as I've said, It stuck with me, I've always wondered about that subject because it's also one of my surnames in at least 4-5 states, and a few countries.
I'm also related to some African American (Butlers, Capers, Baileys, Fontinotes, Martins, Driggers I think?) & other extensions, somehow born in Georgia the early 1800s that lived & died in Claiborne (?) Louisiana in the late 1800s (I'm not sure about the parish)
It's odd, but They seem to be all spread out on that side in the USA & beyond . Now? I need to check that side, in my family tree again & go back and read Your other posts relating to Georgia, SC,
