..completed 6-mo Clerk-typist course in 2-1/2 mo & 9-mo Secretarial Acctg course in 3-1/2 mos. Got my first clerical job thru that school and retired from office work in 2005.

Banged around for a while at Laney Jr College in Oakland, CA. Completed a correspondence course for paralegal (wills, trusts and estates) but am not licensed. Currently enrolled in an online course to learn Medical Transcription, through CSU-Stanislaus in Stockton, CA. Plan to start my own home-based transcription service. Setting my own hours will still allow me time for genealogical and family history research. And I might as well go ahead and complete my college education...what the hey!
