Re: Final Letter
In Response To: Re: Final Letter ()
I am getting ready to send out my final letter and very disappointed by the slow response that I have received from my family since I took over this year's reunion. I have planned a very nice 4-day reunion in New Orleans and the family has met our reservation block, but still the actual registration money is slow to come in. I, too, was very concerned about the gas prices and the economy but was told by many that they were coming and don't give up. We hold our reunion every two years and I started very early in 2004 with the first family newsletter, reunion survey, several follow-up newsletters, with information on the city activities, t-shirts, raffles, souvenir booklet, etc. We normally have 200 people but still the money has trickled in. I guess we are a "last minute bunch" at heart but it is difficult to plan and give deposits if you don't know what the actual numbers that you are dealing with. I need some real motivators to get the people to start moving. I know we are going to have a good time, but this is ridculous! ANY SUGGESTIONS?
