A family reunion is set for September 2-4, 2005 in Keller, Texas for descendents of Harriette and George Shackelford. Harriette, George and several of their children were born in Tennessee. The family was listed in Lee County, Mississippi in the 1870 and 1880 census. One of their sons James Madison Shackelford (born about 1870 in Lee County) was listed in Monroe County, Arkansas in the 1900 census. He married Letha McCullough in Monroe County in 1897. They were the parents of 13 children. Another brother George remained in Mississippi and married Josie Sykes.

George and Harriette were the parents of at least 10 children. We are seeking anyone related to this Shackelford family. Would love to see you at the reunion.
