Re: Letters or Post Cards

Emails, a reunion, homepage for reference and letters only to elders who don't do the internet thing. I have a friend who would use different color of paper to print newsletter's and mail to friends and family. This way he could keep up with who recieved info and who was ignoring their mail. Many people will not take the time to open an envelope unless and maybe it's a bill. They will swear they didn't receive anything. I even went so far to find envelopes that were different colors to mail reunion info out. Family members can get really silly about nothing. Keep each letter as brief and to the point. But make sure you keep a copy of each mailing you make. Make every letter happy with different cartoon characters. Maybe scan an old funny picture of a family member as a letter head for each letter. Give them something to look forward to. I guarantee you, letter's with different family pictures will be saved and found to discuss and talked about. It will come in handy. Oh yeh, if you have a member who you know will hand carry mail to those nay sayers, send a second envelope with that naysayers name added to it. We do everything possible until you finally say this is in the Lords Hand. ONE OTHER THING, our eye site gets a little bad the older we get. Use LARGE type letter info for those seniors. You don't want them to feel they are missing anything. BEEN THERE!!
