After that, we began a bank account that was Spence Lowry Family reunion. Usually two of the organizing family members had access and they would deposit into that account. It changed every year. At the end of the reunion, they would cut a check to the next family that is organizing it, and the cycle continued.

We don't have by-laws still. The older members of the family (my grandma and her siblings) have planned the reunion for years and it's done almost like it was in the beginning (some 40 years ago).

I think once the reunion is turned over to the younger members (my dad and his generation), I'll have more influence in the reunion..lol
