Re: Beaufort SC- Tour Guides

Yes that's the name. The boat ride to St Helena was calming and exciting. We went by the school Mr Conrad taught at, to a 'prayer house' and another note there is a store/restaurant of sorts that sells a special delicacy made with crab meat not run by anyone black. The cost is high for the amount you get. Be causcious spending your money. It's good, but I expected a lot more for the cost. There is a lot of information and black history to see at Hilton Head and St Helena. Hilton head is becoming a series of gated golf course communities. The black inhabitants that still own family property is being pushed out and other ethnic groups are coming in, working together and taking over companies and skills that the young generation could be learning. We did not do a lot of touring in Beaufort, but just as in Hilton Head, a black tour agent in Beaufort, should get out there and advertise as a 'step on'. At the island where we boarded the ferry to St Helena, prices, food and shopping are high. Bring your lunch.
