Great to hear that your family reunion was a success...even with the usual occurrences. Most reunions will have to tackle some of the issues you faced with yours, especially the non-paying family members.

Unfortunately one year, I trusted family members to pay accordingly. Before they left town headed to the reunion, they gave the treasurer their fees to deposit into the account before she left town as well. Mind you now, this was a month after the deadline. Well, since I was too busy to follow up to see if the correct amount was deposited, I didn't worry about it.

After the reunion, when tallying up everything, I quickly learned that the fees for only one person was deposited, and 11 members in that family attended the reunion. We were short-changed by 10 people.

Things like that you will have to endure sometimes. But despite the "cheating" family members, reunions are still a great success. I pray that your family support you and your mom financially in the deficit.
