I located an old friend of the family recently who mentioned he heard about a Holmes family reunion in Kenbridge, VA the 1st or 2nd weekend in August. The person he heard it from died last year so he could not give me any more information about it. I do have Holmes family who were from Kenbridge VA and later moved to NJ.

If anyone knows about this family reunion, please let me know.
