I am currently writing a biography of Oscar James Dunn - Louisiana's first black Lt. Governor. During the course of my research, I've discovered that Dunn made an excursion through several northern states (Ohio, Kentucky, Washington,D.C., Boston, and New York), the trek seemed to serve a variety of purposes.Dunn visited President Grant, Henry Beecher Stowe, factories in Lowell, Mass, Wendell Phillips, Garrison, and Charles Sumner. I am trying to locate more information in regard to the trip and any assistance that could be rendered would be greatly appreciated. The dates of the trip were 04/1869 - 06/1869.
