Many of us have read about the questionable practices of the interviewers in the Slave Narratives and of other folk-lore historians.

Thanks also for sharing Ransom Starling's records with AfriGeneas. There's so much information that can explain our ancestors' experience during Reconstruction.

The attachment from the Military Forum includes some of my observations to Florida veterans of the USCT. However, your introduction and history focuses on one veteran from an area that you know very well, thus making his profile all the more interesting.
