Occasionally a special movie is made that is said to be an event of epic proportions. These films are anxiously anticipated by movie-goers throughout the United States. This was the case of a movie released in 1939. This film’s release was so anticipated that when it finally made its Etowah County debut, special showings had to be arranged. This film was “Gone With the Wind.”
