Warren, From what I understand if a Civil War soldier was a Confederate and had a pension, you would have to get the pension from the state that he served in. Only the union soldiers would have gotten pensions at the federal level which are at NARA. Check with the state library in the state that your ancestor fought in, they would have the information that you are looking for. Suzanne
