My memory fades so take that into consideration with my comments.

A good number of family members completed a number of pages to nominate their Civil War ancestor for the memorial. I do not recall that there were qualifiers other than having served. I do recall a bit of an upset when a cousin of mine submitted the name of her gggrandfather Bush who was a body servant to a Confederate officer from Peaceburgh Alabama. The original plan did not intend that other than Union military would be included. After much ado BUSH was included in the memorial. I have no idea how many others simularly situated may have been included.I think the officer was FORNEY but I will need to double check to be sure and amend this message.
