"Post away" (or something close enough) was your reply last week to my offer to use this site to post all that have have learned,stumbled acorss, borrowed, stolen over the past 35 or so years regarding the origin, history, meaning of the term "buffalo soldier" as applied--and note the "fine tune" here-- to late l9th century black American regulars (ca l866 to around l900).

I have been going through my notes. I figure I can get this info. out via a series of messages (perhaps as many as l0 or more as there is a lot of material) over a period of several weeks.
