Port Hudson, La.
May 27,1863 Ist. Regt. Louisiana Native Guards, 37 dead 116 missing 155 wounded.
Millikens Bend, La.
June 6,1863 5th HVY.Art. 49th and 51st Inf., USCT 130 massacred.
Yazoo City, Miss.
Feb. 10th-25th 1864 1st Miss. recruits redsignated as 3rd Cavalry, USCT and the 11th Illinois,(white troops) 35 black troops and some of the white troops.
Poison Springs, Arkansas
April 18,1864 1st Kansas Colored Volunteers redesignated the 79th Inf. Regt. USCT 100 or more massacred. There is a marker in the Park.
Fort Pillow ,Tenn.
April 12,1864 The 11th Inf.battery f, 2nd Light Artillery USCT 300 black troops were massacred and 52 white troops were massacred , with women and children by General nathan bedford forrest's Tennesseans.
"The Crater, Petersburg, Va.
July 30,1864, The 30th, 39th and 43rd, and others. possibly more than 500 massacred.
Saltville, Va.
October 2, 1864
5th and 6th USCT Cavalry 120 or more were massacred.
