I understand-I am looking at that 1880 census image itself, page 45, supervisors dist 7, enumeration dist. 34, Barnesville. The only difference from your list, is it clearly reads Walker Boins, Black, Male, age 44, teamster, and says he was born in Ohio, with both parents born in Va.
Census records are often varied, depending on who was in the house when the census was done, how it was heard and the literacy of the census recorder.
I'm trying to find that James connection, but it's harder-at least just in the census and military records.
