I thank you too. I also found a book at the library called "How to Locate Anyone Who is or has been in the Military', by Lt Col Richard S. Johnson. There is a newer edition out, but there are some places you can write to for a small cost for later records and address and discriptions of what they can do is there. May help to give you other ideas of research.
