Endangered Civil War Battlefield Nominations Sought: The Civil
War Preservation Trust (CWPT), the nation's largest non-profit
battlefield preservation organization, is accepting nominations for its annual America's Most Endangered Battlefields Report. This report seeks to identify the most threatened Civil War sites and determine what may be done to ensure their preservation.

The report is among the CWPT's strongest weapons in informing the public of the current threats to battlefields. The 2005 report will be released February 2005.

To nominate a battlefield,individuals and groups are encouraged to fill out the nomination form available online at: http://www.civilwar.org/nominationform2005.pdf .

Applications should include photographs of the site and a detailed
description of recent threats. Nominations must be postmarked no later than 31 October 2004.
