Is anyone planning to attend the dedication ceremony of the WWII memorial in Washington, DC during the weekend of May 29th? I'm volunteering for the event. If anyone needs suggestions on logistics, I'd be willing to help. The memorial opened today for citizens to pre-view it, but it will be closed during the actual day of the dedication ceremony.
Also, for those who live in or near Washington, the committee that's organizing the event is still looking for volunteers to help out on the day. Those who live outside of the Washington area can volunteer as well, but bear in mind that you are required to attend several training sessions before the event. The deadline for submitting a volunteer application is May 7th.
Volunteers are needed to work in several areas and at several events throughout the weekend. To learn more about the event and volunteer opportunities, please check the web site below.
