() FORWARDED MESSAGE: Received from Jeff Vaillant, Carson City, Nevada Dear Bennie Here is what I have thus far. Henry W Lockerman enlisted on the 1st of Aug 1862 and was discharged 2 November 1865. He is buried at Lone Mountain Cemetery in Carson City, Carson, NV in Section W-I-G, Row 1, Grave 4. The National Parks Service Soldiers and Sailors list him in the African American Civil War Memorial at Plaque Number C-86.. He is in the 1880 Federal Census for NV, Nye County, Grantsville Precinct as a single 39 year old male Black barber born in Ohio. His fathers place of birth was Maryland; his mother was born in Pennsylvania. He was unemployed for 2 months. He is in the 1890 Veteran Schedule for NV in Lyon County, Silver City township (not far from Carson City). He is listed in the 1900 Federal Census for NV, Lyon County, Silver City precinct as a 59 year old male barber (white) born in October 1840 in Ohio. Single with father born in Maryland, mother born in Pennsylvania. Henry W Lockerman applied for a veterans pension Feb 27, 1893. His application number was 1146953 and the certificate number was 1034862. I have sent for a copy of those documents. My intention is to send all the information to the VA so a new marker can be delivered to the cemetery. Cheers from the high desert! Jeff
