I am Lovenia Raspberry, Black Seminole Descendent. My ancestors were
the Seminole Negro Indian Scouts of Fort Clark, Brackettville, TX. This ancestry comes to me on my maternal side, which is the Warrior, Daniels,
Wilson, Neco, Bruner, Jefferson, Vasquez, to name a few of Mama's people.
I am researching and making my trees known on Ancestry.com and would
enjoy any information that could help me in my endeavors of tracing the
Black, Seminole, Creek, Mexican, and Biloxi blood that runs thru my veins.
The history of the Seminole Negro Indian Scout is published in many books.
The military history is invaluable but can be found on these amazing and
courageous individuals, but Thank God for the Military Records! My search
takes me from Florida, Oklahoma, Mexico, Texas, and Alabama. This is the most important but I also want to include my Father's genealogy. The Raspberry, Roddy, Ward, Saxon Families. They originated from out of Bartow, Cassville, Geogia. Living in Augusta, Woodruff, Arkansas. Any help
with tracing their roots would be very much appreciated also. The most important is I enjoy researching my history, I feel it is not a job at all, it's
just something that comes naturally. Anyone that I may be able to help
please feel free to contact me.
