Note: In the lower "block" of names my CW ancestor, Peter Allen has the star shaped symbol, Watson Artice on the line below Peter Allen has the diamond shaped symbol and William Bankie the line below Watson Artice has the circle shaped symbol.

Does the symbol behind the name indicate the type of unit the USCT served with? Or, is there some other meaning?
