A question, but can't seem to find an answer.

Behind the names of each USCT named on the USCT Memorial Plaques there is a symbol. A star follows some names, others a circle and others a diamond. Is there a significance to the symbol behind each name? And if so, what?

Thanks in advance for any explanation of the symbols and why.
