On ancestry.com i have come across three of my great grandfathers whom filled out a WW I registration as well as other family members. How can I find out if they actually served? This also applies too WW II. Also I did have a relative who was lost at sea during WW II i am not sure if his body was ever recovered or something that was identified as him was brought back to Savannah or SC.
