Re: Korean War
In Response To: Re: Korean War ()

Hi Art
Thanks for this. I saw something like this in only one members affects, but it was very much after the Korean War ended and he was not old enough to serve.
What I am actually looking for is something to confirm Jesse White bn 1927, Missouri, could have served in. On his death certificate dtd 1963, Cook Co., Ill, it said he served in the WW 2. Now this member had 1 legal family and he remarried a second time without benefit of divorce. I believe this information was found out when it came time to release his body for burial and his first wife had to travel to Ill. and sign paperwork. There are so many secrets and cover ups in this family until it is very difficult to figure out what is true. I personally do not think he was in the military and if he was he was probably dishorably seperated after a very short time. So I was just trying to confirm just where he could have been during 1944 to about 1953. I don't know the name of the military cemeteries in Ill, but I do know he was buried at Thornhill or something very similar cemetery. So many secrets. Family want you to dig and find information..but they only want you to find good stuff. He was a uncle I only met, to my memory one time at about age 6. Just a name on a peice of paper. I would not even have been interested if I had not been bugged to do so for the last 10 years. Be careful what you ask for. :b
