I think I missed something or didn't read far enough.
I also would like to know when did the procedure of taking picture's of individual soldier's that served and where did the group picture come in. The reason I am being more exact is because, the only pictures I remember seeing of my father, when he was not in the military was when he was in DC after being injured. It was a snapshot of his leaning on a cane. Never was there a picture of him in uniform.
And he had a brother whom I don't think was a soldier, but there are no pictures of this brother in our immmediate family of him of any kind. I know the brother moved to Chicago, Ill. and started a new family but when this happened, no one remembers. The only information I could find about the brother--Jessie White, bn in Mo. about 1930--was his social security death date.
I kind of think, he may have been in some serious trouble at home and relocated.
