Wilson Hughes served with the US Colored Infantry out of Alexandria, Virginia. He died several years after the war and his widow, Anna or Annie, filed a pension claim. I have a copy of the 125-page file from National Archives and will share it (PDF format) with descendants.

Wilson's brother was named Levin. Wilson and Annie's children included Mary H., Theodora, Benjamin Franklin, Martha A., David, Easter and Luther.
