I was told that this person went into the military under one name, then was AWOL and then went in again in his middle name and when he died his wife received the flag under the name of Robert L Martin. I have been doing family research for a while and they always find then, even one that died at the time of Pearl Habor. I still found when he went in and is listed as missing. But this man I can't find and I guess it is because I don't know what branch or what year. Born in NC abt 1894-1897? died in Washington DC when I don't know. It is very frusting.
