Re: Civil War photographs
In Response To: Re: Civil War photographs ()

Thank you for the question. James, the younger of the Goins' brothers died, according to his pension file record, in a Nashville hospital. Walker went back to Barnesville, Ohio to join his wife and children.

Someone passed me a burial record for his widow which was taken care of by the military but I really don't know Walker's resting place?

This may complicate everything. I had conversations with his descendants and I thought I remember someone saying something about Pennsylvania. Perhaps they were talking about his son instead of him? Walker's name is similiar to one of his sons (and he also had a son with the same name who passed at an early age) and this usually confuses most people; sometimes even me. I am glad I have it written down.

I also thank you for the link.
