I would like to know how I would find out if my grandfather George Anthony born appox Nov.1884 in Tx.who registered 6/5/17 in Harrison CTY. ever actually ever served in the Military ,since he is in the 1920 census with his family. Have not been able to locate him in the 1930 census . My g-mother is listed as a widow in 1930 census.
I do not know if he was killed in the war or maybe they just separated. I also do not know the time frame of that war so that may not be a reason for her being a widow and not been able to locate a marriage certificate for them.
I have no known living relatives I know of at this time.
please help me with these issues and thank you in advance.
