Trying to get a complete copy of my GGgrandfather's military record.
I've received only a portion (which consists only of the medals he recieved) and have sent a letter requesting the entire record.
I understand the Privacy Act and the release of information, but there should be provisions made for unique circumstances. My GGgrandfather married into my family, he and my GGgrandmother had no children together. His parents are deceased, he died Oct 1985 and his wife died Feb 1999. He was an only child. How do I obtain his entire record?? Please help
