The earlier registry - 1810 - 1843 has been transcribed in the Tidewater Virginia Families: A Magazine of History and Genealogy" published by Virginia Lee Hutcheson Davis. It can be found in Volume 7, Number 2 and 3, Volume 8, Number 1 through 4 and Volume 9, Number 1, 2 and 3.

Of course, for anyone in Virginia, the registries are available in the County Clerks office in Essex County.
