Has anyone seen a case of a woman taking the given name of her husband as her last name. An ancestor of mine born Lucy Lolla (FPOC) in Rappahannock County, VA was "married" to Titus Brook, but by 1850 was going by the name of Lucy Tytus, although at other points in time she went by Lucy Brooks. I am sure it is the same woman, but have never seen this type of name change before.
