Yes, Selma. Alfred was my ggrandfather. Kitty's youngest son was my grandfather Allen Brown. My grandfather told his children that his father insisted on his son having his last name. I can't find a name for Kitty's husband or if she even had one. I was told that ther maiden name was Booker, but now I wonder. The only Kitty Booker that I find in that period doesn't seem to be the right one. I was told that my grandfather buried his mother when he was 19, which would make that 1894 or 1887 according to which age you use. The Jacob you found was my Jacob. Thanks for your help. Virginia.
