I agree, these are very interesting stories that give us a glimps into history. I will add that it is important to view page by page and not rely on the index to find a given name or surname. While searching through the Arkansas section, I ran across an entry for the Sandefur slave owners and one of their slaves in Southwest Arkansas. The index did not list the name Sandefur.
