Hi Denise Oliver, I usually dont do this but I thought I would help these people out.. If they would go into either Gainsville NC or Guilford co NC. they will find the Pettifords the original Edmund Pettiford .. theere are many Pettifords listed every where.. those well known went to Indiana but they scattered everywhere. you will find marriages ect etc right there in Guilford Co North Carolina which might answer all the questions.... the Pulleys are mixed with the Weavers the Weavers with the Pettifords, and the Evens and the Shoecrafts and Nickens its all relative smile and all out of Virginia and Ahoskie or Winton co. Va near the Saponi Nation and other plwces there such as Oxford co North Caorlina (Durham)
