In searching for my ancestors Mumford's in 1850 census in Dinwiddle Co. Va, I found there were a large group of free person of color living there. As I view the images I found these surnames appears very often- HILL, BUTCHERS,and MYRICK. I think if you are researching Dinwiddle Co. Va. you should this this census.
