Thanks for your response. I actually posted a similiar thought about my ancestors to tee's reply to my post before reading yours. I too noticed that there are a lot of Godetts in LA. and I know that they immigrated there from Canada. I think this is a sign that I should start really researching the Canadian Godett community. I have been pointed in that direction a few times before.
