This Samuel BUNCH & his wife Mary HUDSON were Quakers & I believe it wasn't until much later that Quakers allowed people of colour to be members.

He & his family were received in membership by the Cedar-Creek-Monthly-Meeting of Quakers in VA,Hanover-Co.

Some of his children were disowned by the Quaker faith including Charles, Samuel, George, Mary, Rebecca, James & Molley.
