I am Vince Goodett originally from Surinam, now living in Holland for 20 jears now. A lot of us are here in holland sinds de 1950 or so.(about 400 totally)
The strange thing dow is that the name is nor originated from surinam. As far as i kno my Grand dad whom i did not get to know because he died when my dad was 15 jears old.His name was James and his wife lastname was Patrick. They came fram the caribbean and met on a ship. They owned a lot of land and onwned horses. In de late 1800 that mend that you were rich. Every thing we have now is deu to hard work study and ambition. In the south of Surinam there are Goodett who are related from the Englis or Scotisch Goodett. These relatives than move to Australia. Ther are also a lot of Goodett in France. One of them name vincent Goodett suppose to heve bott tne right of the classic motocycle called Vincent.

Three sisters of me went (in de 1980) to settle in Frans Guyana.
The resembles of the Goodett from Curacao are there. So they most be related.
Last year a client of mine saw my name and sad that there was a family Goodett in Haiti during the slavery there. They had a lot of slaves. And if things were not going ther way they send an angry mob to the job. Its hard to belief that this is true. Violance is not in our nature.
