I am looking for information about
1) Arnold Artist [Artis],
2) Billy Artis and his wife (wife was reportedly a slave in 1831),
3) Exum Artes [Artis],
4) Isham Turner,
5) Berry Newsom (perhaps white), and
6) Thomas Haithcock (Hathcock).

All of these gentlemen were reported to be free colored people in Southampton county in 1831.
